John and Lenore Weiss have offered to lead a mini-cruise back north to Chicago.  We will leave from Scotty's after the General Meeting.

A Preservation Win For Route 66

Section of Old Route 66 in Springfield May Get Historic Designation

A section of Old Route 66 at the southeast edge of Springfield has been recommended for placement on the National Register of Historic Places.  A decision on the nomination is expected in about three months.

At the Illinois Governor’s Conference on Tourism February 13-14-15, the City of Joliet Visitors Bureau received three (3) state awards in recognition of marketing excellence.
