There is a lot of Route 66 to see in Lexington, including their neon "Lexington" sign. The sign was originally erected in the late 1940's along the west side Route 66 and pointed east to the business district for Lexington. The sign has been recently restored and is in it's original location.

Nearby you'll find Route 66 Park and their great downtown business district. Be sure to visit the mural in downtown Lexington that tells of Lexington's history.

Take a "Geographic Journey," a walking tour along the defunct roadway on Historic Route 66. Discover displays honoring all eight Route 66 states and the famous Burma Shave signs.
